New 2026 - 2023 strategy for Gloucestershire Local Nature Partnership
Gloucestershire Local Nature Partnership now has a new agreed collective strategy for what we want to do as a partnership, from now to 2030.

In this strategy we are clearer about our purpose as a partnership: the reason for the partnership is to achieve more for people and nature by working together. We aim to put nature at the heart of local decision-making, to drive positive change in the local natural environment, and to bring organisations together. In so doing, partnership members will develop actions, programmes and projects together, that address the urgent global ecological and climate crises being expressed locally in Gloucestershire.
The process of creating this partnership strategy started at the November 2023 Partnership Gathering, and then continued with input from working groups, a focus group in autumn 2025, a consultation survey in May 2026 and feedback from the June 2026 Partnership Gathering.
The GLNP strategy sets out ambitious goals and aspirations under each strategic theme:
This is also intended to be a living strategy - undoubtedly, things will change between now and 2030, and we want to be able to update these goals and aspirations when relevant.
