Today (Friday 31st May) was the deadline for any evidence to be presented to GFirst LEP in order for them to develop a fully informed, evidence-based Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) for Gloucestershire.
This Strategy will set the direction for the future of Gloucestershire’s economy. It will help to inform local choices, prioritise local action and, where appropriate, help to inform decisions at a national level. It will also guide local investment alongside funding which is granted to Local Enterprise Partnerships by central government and other national schemes.
It was critically important that the evidence submitted on the importance of our natural environment was of very high quality and quantity so to clearly showcase the need for its inclusion within the strategy. Much time and effort has been put in to our response and the GLNP team would like to thank all partners for their contributions to making it and shaping it.
