The Gloucestershire Local Nature Partnership have pulled together a high-calibre, invite-only symposium to showcase the county’s quality green infrastructure, but most importantly, to unpick the obstacles that still prevent the industry from prioritising the delivery of green infrastructure features when designing and implementing new places to live and work.
This event will be held at the University of Gloucestershire on Friday 26th October 2018. We want to bring together expert knowledge and experience from across the sector along with a candid approach to the tensions of implementing sustainable, green solutions into development. We are looking for frank, open and honest conversations so we can look to address the challenges and take the necessary actions and innovations to move beyond them.
We aspire to making Gloucestershire a pioneer of green infrastructure, creating a better, more attractive place to live, work and visit, as well as becoming an exemplar for the rest of the country. To do this, the symposium will provide the platform to opening those conversations for change, our Pledge will commit key parties to the implementation of green infrastructure, and our proposed Green Network steering committee will provide the support network needed to deliver the actions identified as necessary to make Gloucestershire the pioneering county we aspire it to be.
