Chris Packham releases 'A People's Manifesto for Wildlife'

To coincide with the People's Walk for Wildlife on Saturday 22nd September, Chris Packham, together with 17 independent wildlife experts, have produced A People’s Manifesto For Wildlife (pdf) on how the UK's nations should address conservation and environmental issues from climate change, biodiversity loss, landscape and conservation management through to wildlife crime, all of which (and more) are discussed in this manifesto.

It is stated very clearly in the document that the manifesto has no party-political bias; that it is controversial; that it is entirely financially independent; it is immune from lobbying; and is political.

The manifesto calls for change in the way we treat nature in the UK - seeking swift and strong government action. They have proposed nearly 200 measures to reverse the declines in British wildlife.

The full, extended version of A People's Manifesto For Wildlife can be found on Miles King's website as a pdf.
