Local Industrial Strategy

Our county's Local Enterprise Partnership, GFirst, are required to develop a Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) for Gloucestershire, setting the direction for the future of Gloucestershire’s economy. It will help to inform local choices, prioritise local action and, where appropriate, help to inform decisions at a national level. It will guide local investment alongside funding which is granted to Local Enterprise Partnerships by central government and other national schemes.

In March 2019, there was a 'call for evidence' from GFirst LEP, seeking to gather substantive information in order to create the robust, evidence-based Local Industrial Strategy (LIS) for the county.

The GLNP compiled a considerable amount of data, papers and resources in attempt to strongly showcase the critical importance of our natural environment to the future economy and healthy society. Much time and effort has been put in to our response and the GLNP team would like to thank all partners for their contributions to making it and shaping it.

You can view the evidence response below.

The GLNP will be continuing to engage with GFirst LEP throughout the LIS process and will provide updates on the website either here or via the news section where relevant.
